My love for Halloween is no secret with friends and long time readers of this blog. It's one day out of the year I can unleash my creativity and get completely silly. In the past I've dressed up as a peacock, Lady Gaga in the meat dress and Angry Birds.
This year, Darren and I spent the weekend apart, as I was in New York City with Jean. Although Darren has been a great sport over the years, I'm sure he was elated to be released from his duty as my partner in crime. I originally asked Jean to come to New York for my annual porkbuns and Laduree fix, however, when I realized we were visiting Halloween weekend, I knew we couldn't go without costumes.
After brainstorming for a few days, I came up with black swan and white swan. I'm not sure what it is, but this the 3rd time I've been a bird. I hate working with feathers and after burning my fingers with a glue gun last year, I swore I would never again... nonetheless, I'm glad I did because our costumes turned out better than I imagined!
